Car
From any location in Mayaro, start by heading west on the Mayaro Main Road. Follow this road for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with the Paria Main Road. Turn left onto Paria Main Road and continue for approximately 5 minutes. You will see Shark River on your right-hand side. Look for parking along the roadside as there may not be designated parking areas.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, look for a 'maxi-taxi' heading towards Guayaguayare. These can be found at various points in Mayaro, especially near the main bus station. Once on the maxi-taxi, inform the driver that you are heading to Shark River. The ride will take about 20-30 minutes. After reaching the Paria Main Road, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Shark River. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the river.
