Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the Sangre Grande Bus Terminal, head west on the main road, which is called Eastern Main Road. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Railway Road. You will see a variety of shops and local vendors along the way, which can be great for some sightseeing. Once you reach Railway Road, turn left and walk for about 5 minutes. The Trini style smoke house, located at Double D Bar, will be on your right-hand side. Look out for the sign that says 'Double D Bar' as it marks the entrance.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Sangre Grande Bus Terminal, look for a minibus heading towards Toco or any bus that is going along the Eastern Main Road. Ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection of Railway Road. The fare is usually very affordable, around TT$3-5. Once you get off, walk along Railway Road for about 5 minutes. The Trini style smoke house at Double D Bar will be on your right side. You can spot it easily due to its lively atmosphere.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Sangre Grande. Just tell the driver to take you to Double D Bar on Railway Road. The taxi fare should be around TT$20-30 depending on your starting point. Once you arrive, you will see the smoke house right next to the bar, and it is very recognizable. Enjoy your meal!
