Car
From St. Patrick, head north on the main road towards the town of San Fernando. Continue driving until you reach the intersection with the Solomon Hochoy Highway (Highway 2). Merge onto Highway 2 and continue north. After about 20 minutes, take the exit towards the Uriah Butler Highway (also known as Highway 1) heading east. Continue on the Uriah Butler Highway for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the exit for the Eastern Main Road (Route 1). Turn left onto the Eastern Main Road and follow the signs for St. Augustine. After about 15 minutes, you will see signs for Mount St. Benedict Abbey. Turn left onto Mt. St. Benedict Rd and follow it until you reach the Abbey.
Public Transportation
From St. Patrick, take a taxi or a minibus heading towards San Fernando. Ensure to confirm that they will stop at the San Fernando Terminal. Once at the terminal, transfer to a bus heading towards Port of Spain. After about 30 minutes, get off at the San Juan bus terminal. From there, you will need to catch another minibus or taxi that will take you to Mount St. Benedict Abbey. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination. The cost for the bus from San Fernando to San Juan is approximately $5 TTD, and the taxi or minibus to Mount St. Benedict may cost around $20 TTD.

If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from St. Patrick directly to Mount St. Benedict Abbey. You can find taxis around popular areas or call a local taxi service. The trip will take around 40 minutes, and the fare will typically be around $200 TTD, depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
