If you're traveling by car, start from any location in Tobago and head towards the ferry terminal at Scarborough. Take the ferry to Trinidad, which typically takes about 2 hours. Once in Trinidad, follow the signs to the highway (Priority Bus Route) towards Port of Spain. Continue on the highway until you see the exit for Caroni. Merge onto Caroni South Bank Road, and then turn right onto Orange Grove Road. The Caroni Bird Sanctuary will be on your left at 65 Orange Grove Rd. Keep in mind that the ferry costs approximately TT$50-100 per person, depending on the class of service.

For those using public transportation, take a taxi or a bus from your location in Tobago to the Scarborough ferry terminal. Once you arrive at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Trinidad. After arriving in Trinidad, you can take a taxi from the ferry terminal to Caroni Bird Sanctuary.
