Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major city, such as Kairouan. Head southeast on Route 1 (N1) towards Sousse for approximately 60 kilometers (about 1 hour). After reaching Sousse, switch to Route 3 (N3) towards Kriz El Mahassen. Continue on N3 for around 45 kilometers (about 40 minutes) until you see signs for Guebba. From the center of Guebba, follow local roads and GPS directions to reach the coordinates of Thiges Ruins (33.9973375, 8.2538281). Parking is available near the site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Kairouan to Sousse. Buses run frequently throughout the day and the fare is approximately 5 TND (Tunisian Dinar). Once in Sousse, transfer to a bus heading towards Kriz El Mahassen. Buses to Kriz El Mahassen may not run as frequently, so check the schedule in advance. The fare for this leg of the trip is about 3 TND. After reaching Kriz El Mahassen, you can take a taxi or a local ride-sharing service to the Thiges Ruins, which is approximately 15 kilometers away. Expect to pay around 15 TND for the taxi.
Combination of Car and Walking
If you have access to a car but prefer to walk for part of the journey, you can drive to Guebba and park your car in a safe area. From there, it is about a 2-kilometer walk to the Thiges Ruins. Follow local signs or use a GPS app to navigate the walking route, which will take approximately 25-30 minutes. The area is relatively flat, making for an easy walk.
