Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're in the center of Monastir, head east towards Avenue Habib Bourguiba. Walk straight down this avenue until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue de la République. Continue walking for about 15 minutes. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. As you approach Mahdia, look for signs directing you to the historic sites. Skifa el Kahla will be on your left just as you enter the old medina area.

  • Public Transport

    From Monastir's central bus station, take a local bus heading towards Mahdia. The bus will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Mahdia. Once you arrive at the Mahdia bus station, exit the bus and head towards Avenue de la République. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you see the signs for the historic site Skifa el Kahla. It will be located near the medina entrance.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the Monastir marina area. Head south along the coast towards Mahdia. Follow the coastal road, enjoying the views. The ride is approximately 20 kilometers and should take about an hour. Upon reaching Mahdia, park your bicycle near the entrance to the medina, and Skifa el Kahla will be just a short walk from there. Look for signage pointing to the historic sites.
