Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Southern Tunisia, such as from Douz, which is approximately 450 km away from Tunis. Take the N1 highway north towards Tunis. Once you reach the capital, follow the signs to La Medina. As you enter La Medina, navigate to Rue d'Iran. Dar Othman is located at 47 Rue d'Iran, Tunis 1002. Make sure to check parking options nearby as parking in Medina can be limited.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first, take a bus or a shared taxi (known as 'louages') from your location in Southern Tunisia to Tunis. The journey may take several hours, so plan accordingly. Once you arrive in Tunis, head to the central bus station (Gare Routière) or the main taxi stands. From there, you can take a local taxi directly to La Medina. Inform the driver you want to go to 47 Rue d'Iran. The taxi ride should cost around 10-15 Tunisian Dinars. Make sure to have some local currency on hand for the fare.
Walking
If you are already in La Medina, Dar Othman is within walking distance of many attractions. From the main square (Place de la Kasbah), head east on Rue de la Kasbah, turn left onto Rue de la Liberté, and then right onto Rue d'Iran. Dar Othman will be on your left. Walking is a great way to explore the narrow streets and vibrant atmosphere of the Medina.
