After approximately 45 minutes of driving, you will reach the outskirts of Tunis. Continue to follow signs for R688. As you approach the center of Tunis, follow the signs to enter the city and then take the exit onto R688 towards Chikly. Drive for about 15 minutes until you reach the ferry terminal where you can park your car. From here, you will need to take a ferry to the island of Chikly, which typically costs around 5 TND per person. Once you arrive on Chikly, Fort Santiago is a short walk from the ferry terminal.

Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, start from Hammamet by taking a Louage (shared taxi) to Tunis. These taxis depart regularly from the central taxi station and cost approximately 7 TND per person. Once you arrive in Tunis, head to the Bab Alioua station to catch a local bus or taxi to the ferry terminal located on the coastline. The bus fare will be around 1 TND. After reaching the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Chikly, which costs about 5 TND. The ferry ride will take around 15 minutes, and once you disembark on Chikly, Fort Santiago is within a short walking distance from the ferry dock.
