If you are driving from the town of Nefta, head southeast on Avenue Habib Bourguiba, then take Route 1 toward Chott el Djerid. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will arrive at a viewpoint area marked on your GPS as VJ6C+9P, Fatnassa. There is ample parking available nearby. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
To reach Chott el Djerid Viewpoint via public transport, take a louage (shared taxi) from Nefta or Douz heading towards Chott el Djerid. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the viewpoint. The fare is typically around 10-15 Tunisian Dinars. Once you arrive at the viewpoint area (VJ6C+9P, Fatnassa), you may need to walk a short distance to reach the best vantage spots.
Taxi
