Car
From any location in The Nefzaoua, head towards the main road (Route Nationale 3) that connects to El Fahs. Drive for approximately 45 minutes towards El Fahs. Once you reach El Fahs, follow the signs for Thuburbo Majus which is located at the coordinates 36.3997129, 9.9046058. There is a small parking area available near the site.
Public Transportation
Begin by taking a taxi or shared taxi (louage) from your location in The Nefzaoua to the nearest bus station that services routes to El Fahs. Make sure to confirm the route with the driver. Once in El Fahs, you can either take a local taxi to Thuburbo Majus or walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to the site, as it is not far from the town center. Expect to pay around 2-5 TND for the taxi from El Fahs to Thuburbo Majus.
Bicycle
If you prefer an adventurous route, rent a bicycle in El Fahs and cycle towards Thuburbo Majus. The ride is approximately 5 kilometers and can take around 20-30 minutes. Ensure you have a map or GPS, as some parts of the route may not be well marked. Remember to wear a helmet and take necessary safety precautions.
