If you are driving from Tunis, take the A1 highway heading south towards Sbeitla. The journey typically takes around 3 hours. Once you reach the town of Kasserine, follow signs to Sbeitla. Continue on Route 15 for approximately 30 kilometers. The archaeological site is located just outside the town of Subaytilah. Look for the coordinates 64R9+J6Q on your GPS to arrive directly at the site. Parking is available near the entrance.

Public Transportation

To reach Sbeitla using public transportation, start by taking a train or a bus from Tunis to Kasserine. The train departs from the Tunis Central Railway Station and the bus departs from the Bab Alioua bus station. The journey takes about 3-4 hours. From Kasserine, you can catch a local taxi or a small shared taxi (called a 'louage') to Sbeitla. Make sure to confirm the taxi goes to the archaeological site or the nearest drop-off point, which is in Subaytilah. The taxi ride from Kasserine to Sbeitla takes approximately 30 minutes, and the fare typically ranges from 10-15 Tunisian Dinars.
