Car

If you're driving from central Bithynia, start by heading south on the D300 highway. Follow the signs towards Aksaray. After approximately 85 km, take the exit towards Ihlara Valley (Karşıyaka). Continue along the road for about 15 km until you reach the village of Ihlara. You can park at the designated parking area near the valley entrance. Note that there may be a small parking fee, usually around 10-20 TRY.

Public Transportation

To reach Ihlara Valley via public transport, take a bus from Aksaray bus terminal to Ihlara. The buses are frequent and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Ihlara, you can either walk to the valley entrance or take a local taxi if you have heavy luggage. The cost for the bus ticket is typically around 30-50 TRY.

Taxi

For a more direct option, you can also hire a taxi from Aksaray to Ihlara Valley. This is convenient if you are traveling with a group or have luggage. The taxi ride takes roughly 1 hour and may cost between 300-400 TRY, depending on negotiation and time of day.

Walking

If you are already in Ihlara village, the valley entrance is a short 15-20 minute walk from the village center. Follow the main road south and look for signs directing you to the valley entrance. This is a scenic route and a great way to enjoy the local landscape.
