Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Bithynia. Head southwest on the D400 highway towards Muğla. Continue on this road for approximately 45 kilometers. Look for signs for Ortaca and turn right onto the D550 road. After about 10 kilometers, follow the signs to Dalyan. Once you reach Dalyan, you can park your car in one of the designated parking areas. The entrance to Kaunos Ancient City is a short walk from the main road.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from the central bus station in Bithynia to Ortaca. The bus ride will take around 1 hour and cost approximately 30 TL. Once you arrive in Ortaca, transfer to a minibus (dolmuş) heading to Dalyan. The dolmuş ride is about 20 minutes and costs around 15 TL. Upon arriving in Dalyan, walk to the entrance of Kaunos Ancient City, which is well-signposted.

  • Boat (Optional)

    If you prefer a scenic route, you can also take a boat from Dalyan to the ancient ruins. There are several boat tours available that typically cost around 50 TL per person.
