Getting There

Bus
From Canakkale city center, head to the main bus terminal (Otogar) located at the northern part of the city. You can either walk or take a taxi to reach there. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Eceabat. Buses to Eceabat run frequently throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. After arriving in Eceabat, you will need to walk to the ferry terminal located nearby.

At the Eceabat ferry terminal, buy a ticket for the ferry to Kilitbahir. The ferry ride takes about 10 minutes. Once you disembark at Kilitbahir, you will have to walk towards the road leading to Bigalı. The castle is approximately 4 kilometers away from the ferry terminal. You can either walk or look for any local minibus service that may take you closer to the castle.

Walking
If you choose to walk from Kilitbahir, head east on the main road (Dardanel Road). Follow the signs for Bigalı, which is well-marked. The walk will take you through beautiful scenery along the coast, and you will eventually reach Bigalı Castle after about an hour of walking. Ensure you have a map or a GPS-enabled device for easy navigation.
