Car
If you are driving from central Caria, head towards the D330 highway and follow the signs for İstanbul. The journey will take approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach İstanbul, take the exit for Fatih and follow the signs to Sultanahmet. The Blue Mosque is located at Binbirdirek, At Meydanı Cd No:10, 34122 Fatih. There is limited street parking available, so be prepared to find a nearby parking lot or park in designated areas. Expect to pay for parking, which can range from 20 to 50 Turkish Lira per hour.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach The Blue Mosque via public transportation, take a bus from Caria to the İstanbul bus station (Esenler Otogar). Once at the bus station, transfer to the Metro line and take the M1A line towards Atatürk Airport. Get off at Aksaray station and transfer to the Tram line (T1) towards Kabataş. Get off at Sultanahmet station, which is a short walk from The Blue Mosque. Be sure to buy an Istanbulkart for easier payment on public transport, which costs around 50 Turkish Lira for the card itself.
Public Transportation (Train and Tram)
For a more scenic route, you can take a train from Caria to İstanbul. The nearest train station for departure is typically in a nearby larger town. Once in İstanbul, head to the Eminönü station via the Marmaray line. From Eminönü, take the T1 tram towards Kabataş and get off at Sultanahmet station. The Blue Mosque is a short walk from the tram stop. A train ticket from Caria to İstanbul usually costs around 50 Turkish Lira. Additionally, the tram ride will be around 15 Turkish Lira.
