Experience Lycian Way Trail

Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From Fethiye city center, head to the Fethiye bus station (Otogar), which is located about a 15-minute walk from the main square. Once you arrive at the bus station, look for the buses that go to Ölüdeniz. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Tell the driver you want to get off at Ölüdeniz. Once you arrive in Ölüdeniz, follow the signs towards the beach area. The starting point of the Lycian Way Trail is located at the eastern end of Ölüdeniz beach.

  • Dolmuş (Shared Minibus)

    From the main square in Fethiye, find the dolmuş stop for the Ölüdeniz route, which is typically near the Fethiye Museum. The dolmuşes run frequently, usually every 15-20 minutes, and the journey to Ölüdeniz takes about 20-25 minutes. Inform the driver you wish to go to the beach area. After you get off, walk towards the Ölüdeniz beach. The Lycian Way Trail begins at the far end of the beach.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, starting from the Fethiye harbor area, you can follow the coastal path towards Ölüdeniz. It’s approximately a 12 km walk and will take around 2-3 hours. The scenic route will take you along the coastline, passing through local neighborhoods and offering beautiful views of the sea. Once you reach Ölüdeniz beach, head towards the eastern end where you will find the trailhead for the Lycian Way.
