Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Göreme Open-Air Museum, which is a central point in Göreme. From the museum, head southeast towards the main road (D302). Once you reach the D302, turn left and continue walking along the road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction that leads to Mustafapaşa. Look for signs indicating Mustafapaşa and Damsa Barajı. Take the right turn onto the road towards Mustafapaşa (the road will have a sign showing the direction). Continue on this road for approximately 4 kilometers. As you approach Mustafapaşa, you will notice signs for Damsa Barajı. After entering Mustafapaşa, follow the signs to Damsa Barajı, which is located about 2 kilometers from the center of the village. The journey on foot will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.

  • Public Transport

    From Göreme, walk to the nearby bus stop located at the main square. Take a minibus (dolmuş) heading towards Ürgüp. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Mustafapaşa. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Mustafapaşa, disembark and ask locals for directions to Damsa Barajı, which is about 2 kilometers away from the village center. You can either walk or ask for a local taxi to take you to the barajı.
