Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards the D400 highway. From any location in Ionia, navigate to the D400 highway towards Kaş. Once on the D400, continue driving for approximately 70 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Patara or Gelemiş. After exiting the D400, follow the signs for Gelemiş village. The Patara Ruins are about 10 kilometers from Gelemiş. There is a parking area near the entrance to the ruins where you can leave your car.

For those using public transportation, first take a bus from your location in Ionia to Kaş. Buses frequently depart from major towns in Ionia and the journey usually takes between 1 to 2 hours, depending on your starting point. Upon arriving in Kaş, transfer to a Dolmuş (shared minibus) heading to Gelemiş. The Dolmuş will take you directly to Gelemiş village, which is the nearest settlement to Patara Ruins. The ride to Gelemiş from Kaş takes about 30 minutes. Once in Gelemiş, you can either walk the remaining 10 kilometers to the ruins or take a local taxi if you prefer.
