    If you are starting from Taksim Square, head down Istiklal Street, which is a famous pedestrian avenue filled with shops and cafes. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of Istiklal Street. You will arrive at Galata Tower, which is a prominent landmark on your right. From Galata Tower, turn left onto Bankalar Street (Bankalar Caddesi). Walk down Bankalar Street for about 10 minutes, and you will find the Kamondo Stairs on your left at Bankalar Cd. NO:10.

    From Sultanahmet, take the Tram (T1 line) towards Kabatas. Get off at the Karakoy station. Once you exit the tram, walk towards the Galata Bridge and cross it.
