Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Oludeniz, head northeast on Ölüdeniz Caddesi toward the D400 highway. Merge onto D400 and continue for about 14 kilometers. Look for signs to Fethiye, and then follow the signs for Lycian Way. The starting point of the Lycian Way is accessible from various points along the route. Consider parking at designated areas near the trailheads, as some may require a small parking fee.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Lycian Way by public transport, take a dolmuş (minibus) from Oludeniz to Fethiye. The dolmuş leaves from the main bus station in Oludeniz and runs frequently, costing around 10-15 TL per person. Once in Fethiye, you can ask the driver to drop you off near the trailhead of the Lycian Way, or you may need to walk a short distance to the nearest entrance. Be sure to check the schedule for the return dolmuş, as service may be less frequent in the evening.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Oludeniz to the Lycian Way. Taxis are available throughout Oludeniz, and the fare to the nearest access point is typically around 100-150 TL. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your journey. The taxi can drop you off at a convenient trailhead location, making your hike easier.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and want to experience the local area, you can walk to the Lycian Way's nearest access point. From Oludeniz, head along the coastal path toward Fethiye. This is a longer option, taking about 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water, as this route can be steep and sunny.
