Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the center of Ashgabat, make your way to the main street, Turkmenbashi Avenue (also known as 10th Avenue). Head east towards the direction of the National Museum of Turkmenistan, which is a prominent landmark. Once you reach the museum, continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you see a large roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Ashgabat Street and follow it for about 800 meters. You will then see the Turkmenbashy Ruhy Mosque on your left, marked by its impressive white marble and gold dome.

• Public Transport

  From the main bus station in Ashgabat (located near the city center), take bus number 18 or 20. These buses frequently run towards the area of the Turkmenbashy Ruhy Mosque. Inform the driver that you are going to the mosque. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the mosque, which is usually announced, and from there, it is just a short 5-minute walk to the mosque itself.

• Taxi

  For a more convenient option, you can hire a taxi from any location within Ashgabat. Simply tell the driver 'Turkmenbashy Ruhy Mosque' or show them the address (2783+X3F, Ashgabat). The drive will typically take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure that you agree on the fare before starting your journey or request that the driver use the meter.
