    From Mary city, head southeast on Turkmenistan Highway towards Yakeper. The distance is approximately 60 kilometers, and the journey should take around 1 hour. Follow the highway signs towards Yakeper. Once you reach Yakeper, look for signs directing you to Gonur Tepe. The archaeological site is located just outside of Yakeper, approximately 10 km from the town center, at coordinates 38.213974, 62.0378637. You may need to drive on unpaved roads, so be prepared for rough terrain.

    Take a bus from the Mary bus station to Yakeper. Buses run regularly throughout the day and the fare is usually around 3-5 TMT (Turkmenistan Manat). The trip will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once in Yakeper, you can hire a taxi or arrange a local driver to take you the remaining 10 km to Gonur Tepe. Expect to pay around 20-30 TMT for the taxi ride.

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Mary city to Gonur Tepe. The taxi fare will range from 60 to 80 TMT for a one-way trip. Make sure to negotiate the price beforehand.
