Car
If you are traveling by car from any location in Bukedi, head towards the main highway (A109) that connects to Kampala. Follow the signs towards Kampala, which is approximately 4-5 hours away depending on traffic. Once you reach Kampala, take the exit toward Lubiri Ring Road. Continue on Lubiri Ring Road until you see signs for Kabaka's Palace. The palace is located at The Twekobe, Lubiri Ring Road. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of parking fees which may apply.
Public Transportation (Boda Boda)
To reach Kabaka's Palace from Bukedi using public transport, take a bus to Kampala from any major bus terminal in Bukedi. Once you arrive in Kampala, you can hire a Boda Boda (motorcycle taxi) to get to Kabaka's Palace. Inform the rider to take you to The Twekobe, Lubiri Ring Road. Ensure that you negotiate the fare beforehand; costs typically range from 10,000 to 20,000 UGX depending on distance and traffic.
Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Bukedi, board a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Kampala. The journey can take around 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Kampala, walk to the nearest stage for a matatu going to Lubaga. Ask the conductor to drop you off at Lubiri Ring Road. From there, it is a short walk to Kabaka's Palace. Be prepared to pay about 10,000 UGX for the matatu ride to Kampala and an additional 2,000-5,000 UGX for the short matatu ride to Lubaga.
