If you are traveling by car from Bukedi, start on the main road heading towards Mbale. Follow the signs for the A109 highway. Continue on this road for about 60 kilometers until you reach the junction at Mpigi. At the junction, take a right turn onto the A4 road towards Kayabwe. Drive for approximately 20 kilometers, and you will see the sign for the Uganda Equator on your left. The exact address is X2VP+M6, Plot 24 Kikutuzi-Mpigi District, Kayabwe.
Public Transportation (Matatu)
To reach the Uganda Equator by public transport, first, find a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Kampala from Bukedi. Get off at the Mpigi junction. From there, you will need to take another matatu heading towards Kayabwe. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the Uganda Equator. The fare for the first leg to Mpigi is around 5,000 UGX, and the second leg to Kayabwe will cost approximately 3,000 UGX. Ensure you have small denominations of cash for the fare.
Bicycle
For the adventurous traveler, cycling to the Uganda Equator is an option. Start from Bukedi and follow the A109 highway towards Mbale. After about 60 kilometers, turn right at the Mpigi junction onto the A4 road. Continue cycling for another 20 kilometers until you reach the Uganda Equator.
