    If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Jinja city. Head east on the Jinja-Kamuli Road (A109) for about 8 kilometers until you reach the Mafubira area. Look for signs indicating Igenge Hill, or use GPS coordinates (0.4840612, 33.2361863). Once in Mafubira, follow local roads leading to the hill. The road may be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. There is no entry fee for Igenge Hill.

  • Public Transportation (Matatu)

    From Jinja, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Kamuli. Get off at Mafubira. The journey will cost approximately 2,000 UGX. Once you arrive in Mafubira, you can either walk towards Igenge Hill, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill or hire a local boda boda (motorcycle taxi) for around 1,500 UGX to take you directly to the foot of the hill.

  • Boda Boda

    If you are already in Mafubira, you can hire a boda boda to take you to Igenge Hill. Negotiate the fare before starting; it should cost around 1,500 UGX. The ride will take approximately 10 minutes, depending on road conditions. Ensure that the rider knows the exact location of Igenge Hill.
