If you are traveling by car from Jinja, head east on the Jinja-Kamuli Road (also known as the A-4 road). Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Kamuli. From Kamuli, take the road towards Kagulu Rock, which is about 10 kilometers away. Look for signs for Kagulu Rock or ask locals for directions once you are near the area. There are also dirt roads leading to the base of the rock, where you can park your vehicle.

To reach Kagulu Rock using public transport, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Jinja to Kamuli. The journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Once in Kamuli, you can either hire a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you directly to Kagulu Rock or walk to the nearest dirt road leading to the site. The distance from Kamuli to Kagulu Rock is approximately 10 kilometers, and the motorbike ride will cost around 5,000 to 10,000 UGX depending on negotiation.
