Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Jinja town, which is approximately 12 kilometers away from Itanda Falls. Head east on the Jinja-Kamuli Road (also known as the Kampala-Jinja Highway). After about 5 kilometers, take a right turn onto Lubanyi Road. Continue on Lubanyi Road for about 7 kilometers until you reach Itanda Falls. There is a parking area available near the falls.
Public Transportation
To reach Itanda Falls using public transportation, find a taxi or a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) from Jinja town to Itanda Falls. Taxis leave from the Jinja taxi park and usually cost around 2,000 UGX (Ugandan Shillings) per person. Inform the driver that you want to go to Itanda Falls, and they will drop you off close to the entrance. Expect a 15 to 20-minute ride, depending on traffic.
Walking from the Drop-off Point
Once you are dropped off by the taxi or boda boda, you may need to walk the remaining distance to the falls. Follow the signs directing you to Itanda Falls. It's approximately a 10-minute walk from the drop-off point. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes as the terrain can be uneven.
