Car
If you are driving, start your journey from the main road leading into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Follow the signs to Buhoma, which is a well-known entry point into the park. Once you reach Buhoma, continue on the road for approximately 7 kilometers until you reach the junction at Bwangashanjo. Turn left onto the road leading to Bwanga. Macuba Cottages is located in Bwanga, approximately 5 kilometers down this road. Keep an eye out for local signage directing you to the cottages.
Public Transportation
To reach Macuba Cottages via public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from your current location in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Buhoma. These matatus are usually found at designated stops and will cost around 10,000 UGX per person. Upon arriving in Buhoma, you can hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Macuba Cottages. The boda-boda ride will cost approximately 15,000 UGX and will take about 15-20 minutes. Ensure to confirm the destination with the rider before starting your journey.
