If you're driving, navigate to Nkuringo via the main road from Kabale. Follow the signs for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Once you reach Nkuringo, look for signs indicating Gorilla Heights Lodge, which is located within the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest area. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the last part of the journey may involve unpaved roads.

Public Transportation
Take a bus or shared taxi from Kabale to Nkuringo. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Nkuringo, you may need to arrange a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you the final stretch to Gorilla Heights Lodge, as it is located deep within the forest. The motorcycle taxi should cost around 10,000-15,000 Ugandan Shillings.

If you're already in the Nkuringo area and prefer a more adventurous route, you can hike to Gorilla Heights Lodge. The trail is well-marked, but be prepared for steep sections and potentially muddy conditions. This hike will take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.
