Car
If you are driving to Rushaga headquarters, start from the main entrance of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Follow the signs for Rushaga. The headquarters are located at VPH5+X4, Bugambira, which is approximately 12 kilometers from the main park entrance. The road is mostly dirt and may be bumpy, so drive carefully. Expect about 30-40 minutes of travel time depending on road conditions.
Public Transportation
To reach Rushaga headquarters via public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Kisoro or Buhoma heading towards Rushaga. Inform the driver you want to stop at Rushaga headquarters. The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, and the fare is usually around 10,000 UGX. Once you arrive, the headquarters are a short walk from where the matatu drops you off.
