If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Mubende from Kampala on the Kampala-Mubende road (A109). After approximately 90 kilometers, take the exit toward Mubende town. Once in Mubende, navigate to Nakayima Tree Shrine by following the signs or using a GPS-enabled device. The shrine's coordinates are approximately 0.5754° N, 31.3792° E. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation (Matatu)
To reach Nakayima Tree Shrine using public transportation, go to the nearest bus or matatu stage in Kampala and board a matatu heading to Mubende. The ride typically takes about 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Mubende, you can hire a local boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or walk to the shrine, which is about 3 kilometers from the town center.
