Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Mbale, take the Jinja-Mbale Road and head towards Jinja. After approximately 50 kilometers, you will reach the roundabout at Jinja. From the roundabout, take the exit towards Kampala via the Kampala-Jinja Highway (A-7). Continue for about 70 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Kampala. Follow the signs for Naguru. Once you reach Naguru Dr, look for Plot 17-18 where Forest Cottages is located. Ensure to have a GPS or map application to assist with navigation.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Forest Cottages by public transportation from Mbale, board a bus heading to Kampala at the Mbale bus terminal. The journey will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and costs around 15,000 to 20,000 UGX. Upon arriving at the Kampala Bus Terminal, you can take a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to Naguru Dr. This ride should cost about 10,000 UGX. Inform the rider that you are going to Plot 17-18 where Forest Cottages is located.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a private taxi from Jinja to Forest Cottages. This will be more expensive, with fares ranging from 100,000 to 150,000 UGX depending on negotiation and time of day. The taxi will take you directly to Plot 17-18 Naguru Dr, ensuring you reach your destination without any hassle.

• Boda-Boda

  Once in Kampala, if you are not near the main bus terminal, you can use a boda-boda to get to Forest Cottages. Boda-bodas are a common mode of transport in Uganda. Simply provide the driver with the address (Plot 17-18 Naguru Dr) and agree on the fare beforehand, which should be around 10,000 UGX for a short distance. Ensure to wear a helmet for safety.
