Car
If you're driving from Jinja, take the Jinja-Kamuli Road (A-109) towards Kamuli. After approximately 30 kilometers, take a left turn onto the Kamuli-Tororo Road (A-109). Continue for about 100 kilometers until you reach Tororo. From Tororo, follow the signs to Nyanga and then to Nyanza Rd. The King's Palace Museum is located on Nyanza Rd in Rwanda. Make sure to have your GPS on to navigate accurately.
Public Transportation
To reach King's Palace Museum using public transportation from Mbale, head to the Mbale Taxi Park and board a taxi heading to Tororo. The fare is about 5,000 UGX. Once in Tororo, you'll need to take a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to Nyanza Rd. The fare for the boda-boda is usually around 10,000 UGX. Inform the driver that you are going to King's Palace Museum, and they will take you directly there.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, start from Mbale and head towards Tororo via the A-109 road. The distance is about 55 kilometers, so ensure you’re prepared for a long ride. Once you reach Tororo, ask locals for directions to Nyanza Rd, where the museum is located. The ride will take around 3-4 hours, depending on your cycling speed.
