Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Jinja, take the Jinja-Kampala highway (A-1) heading towards Kampala. Continue on this road for approximately 75 kilometers. As you approach Kampala, follow the signs for the city center. Once you enter the city, look for Ben Kiwanuka Road. You can use a GPS or map app to assist with navigation. There is parking available near Master Plaza, but be mindful of potential parking fees, typically ranging from 2,000 to 5,000 UGX for a few hours.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Jinja, you can take a bus to Kampala from the main bus terminal. The journey typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Buses leave frequently, with tickets costing between 10,000 to 15,000 UGX. Once you arrive at the Kampala bus terminal, take a taxi or a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to Ben Kiwanuka Road. The cost for a taxi should be around 10,000 UGX, and a boda boda will be about 5,000 UGX.

• Public Transportation (Matatu)

  Another option is to take a matatu (shared taxi) from Jinja to Kampala. You can find matatus at the Jinja bus terminal. They leave when full and generally cost around 8,000 to 12,000 UGX. Once you reach Kampala, you can take a taxi or boda boda to Ben Kiwanuka Road. The fare will be similar to that of a regular taxi.

• Local Taxi/Boda Boda

  If you are already in Kampala, you can use local taxis or boda bodas to reach Master Plaza. Simply tell the driver to take you to Ben Kiwanuka Road. The cost for a local taxi is generally around 5,000 to 10,000 UGX, while a boda boda will cost about 3,000 to 5,000 UGX. Be sure to negotiate the fare in advance.
