Car
If you are driving, head towards Buligenyi from Mbale or Jinja. From Mbale, take the Mbale-Tirinyi road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Buligenyi. Turn right and continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers. Follow the signs that lead to Sisiyi Falls. The falls are located at the coordinates 1.2790124 latitude and 34.3208623 longitude, which will guide you directly to the falls.
Public Transportation
To reach Sisiyi Falls via public transport, take a taxi from Mbale or Jinja to Buligenyi. From Mbale, the taxi ride will take around 45 minutes and cost approximately UGX 5,000-10,000. Once you reach Buligenyi, you can hire a local boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Sisiyi Falls for about UGX 3,000-5,000. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
For adventurous travelers, you can choose to walk from Buligenyi to Sisiyi Falls. This trek is about 5 kilometers and will take approximately 1-2 hours. The path is scenic, but be prepared for some rugged terrain. Ensure you have proper walking shoes and stay hydrated.
