    If you are driving from Mbale, take the Mbale-Kumi Road (A109) heading towards Kumi. Continue on this road until you reach Kumi town. Once in Kumi, take the Kumi-Pallisa Road (Buluuli Road) heading towards Pallisa. After approximately 20 kilometers, look for signs indicating the turnoff to Thimlich Ohinga Historic Site. Follow the local roads for about 10 kilometers until you arrive at the site. Note that roads may be unpaved and require careful navigation.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Thimlich Ohinga from Mbale using public transport, first take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mbale to Kumi. The fare is approximately UGX 3,000. Once you arrive in Kumi, switch to another matatu headed towards Pallisa. After about 20 kilometers, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest junction for Thimlich Ohinga. From there, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) for the remaining 10 kilometers to the site, which should cost around UGX 10,000.
