Getting There

    Start at the Fort Portal Town Centre, near the main market. Head west on Ntoroko Road for about 1 km until you reach the junction with the Nyakasura Road. Turn left onto Nyakasura Road. Continue walking for approximately 2 km until you see signs for Amabere Caves on your right. Follow the signs, and you will reach the entrance to the caves.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Fort Portal Town Centre. Start from the Town Centre and head west on Ntoroko Road. After about 1 km, turn left onto Nyakasura Road. Cycle straight for about 2 km until you see the signs for Amabere Caves on your right. Follow the signs to the entrance of the caves. Ensure you have water and a helmet for safety.

  • Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)

    Find a boda boda taxi at one of the stands near Fort Portal Town Centre. Tell the rider to take you to Amabere Caves, and they will know the location. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before getting on the bike.
