Walking
If you are starting from the Jinja Main Market, head east on Main Street towards the Nile River. Continue straight until you reach the junction at the Nile Bridge. Cross the bridge and keep walking straight on the main road. After about 1 km, you will reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Kiira Road. Continue on Kiira Road for approximately 500 meters, and Jinja Backpackers will be on your right at number 38.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
From the Jinja Main Market, find a boda boda stand. Tell the driver you want to go to Jinja Backpackers on Kiira Road. The driver will take you directly there, which should take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to specify the address '38 Kiira Rd' to ensure they know your destination.
Bicycle
If you decide to rent a bicycle in Jinja, start from the Jinja Main Market. Head east towards the Nile Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight on the main road. After about 1 km, you will come to a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Kiira Road. Continue biking for about 500 meters, and you will see Jinja Backpackers on your right at 38 Kiira Rd.
Public Transportation (Matatu)
From the Jinja Main Market, look for a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards the Jinja Bus Park. Once at the park, transfer to a matatu that goes towards Kiira Road. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Jinja Backpackers. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes. Once you disembark, walk approximately 100 meters back along Kiira Road, and you will find Jinja Backpackers at number 38.
