If you are in the center of Jinja, start at the Jinja Central Market. Head southwest on Kampala Road for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Kyabazinga Highway. Turn left onto Kyabazinga Highway and continue walking straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will see the Jinja Nile Bridge ahead. The bridge is located right on the highway, so you cannot miss it.
Bicycle
Begin at the Jinja Central Market and rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Cycle southwest on Kampala Road for about 500 meters to the junction with Kyabazinga Highway. Turn left onto Kyabazinga Highway. Continue cycling straight for about 1.5 kilometers. As you approach the bridge, enjoy the scenic views of the Nile River. The bridge will be directly in front of you.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
From any location in Jinja, find a nearby Boda Boda stand. Negotiate a fare to the Jinja Nile Bridge. Most drivers know the location well. You will travel along Kampala Road and then turn onto Kyabazinga Highway. The ride should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction where you can see the bridge.
Public Transport (Matatu)
Head to the nearest Matatu stage, which is usually near the Jinja Central Market. Look for Matatus heading towards Kampala or those specifically labeled for 'Nile Bridge'. Board the Matatu and pay the fare. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Kyabazinga Highway stop, and the bridge will be a short walk ahead. Just follow the road straight towards the river.
