Boda Boda
From the city center, find a boda boda stage, such as the one near the Kampala Central Police Station. Tell the rider you want to go to Luzira. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. You will pass through the busy streets of Nakawa and might see notable landmarks like the Nakawa Market. Keep an eye out for the Luzira Prison as a landmark to note that you are close.

Matatu (Shared Taxi)
Head to the nearest matatu stage, usually found near major roads or markets. Board a matatu that is heading towards Nakawa. Once you reach Nakawa, tell the conductor you need to get to Luzira. You may need to transfer to a boda boda for the last stretch, as not all matatus go directly into Luzira. Confirm with the driver or conductor if they can drop you closer to Luzira. The entire trip should take about 30-45 minutes.
