If you are starting from the Kampala Central Business District (CBD), head towards the intersection of Jinja Road and Kampala Road. Once you reach this intersection, continue walking straight on Kampala Road. You will pass by various shops and local eateries. After about 10-15 minutes of walking, keep an eye out for the Makerere University roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Nakasero Road. Continue straight until you reach The Square, where the World War Monument is located. The monument is on your left side, easily visible from the road.

From anywhere in Kampala, you can easily catch a Boda Boda to the World War Monument. Simply tell the driver 'World War Monument at The Square'. They will take you directly to the location. Starting from the Uganda Museum, exit the museum and turn left onto Kira Road. Walk for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Jinja Road. Turn right onto Jinja Road and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. Look for the sign directing you to The Square on your left. Follow the signs, and the World War Monument will be located within The Square, just a short distance ahead.
