Walking
If you are in Nakasero, head towards the main road, Akii Bua Road. Walk towards the area known as Constitutional Square. The World War Monument is located within the square, which is just a short 10-15 minute walk depending on your starting point in Nakasero. As you approach the square, look for the tall monument which is unmistakable and serves as a historical landmark.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local vendors in Nakasero. Start by cycling towards Akii Bua Road and head towards Constitutional Square. The cycling distance is about 1.5 kilometers and should take around 5-10 minutes. Remember to park your bicycle at a designated area near the square.
Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)
For a quicker option, you can use a motorcycle taxi, known locally as Boda Boda. Simply flag one down in Nakasero and tell the driver you need to go to Constitutional Square. The fare should be around 3,000 to 5,000 UGX depending on your exact pick-up point and traffic conditions. The ride should take approximately 5 minutes.
