From the center of Kigezi, head southwest on the Kabale - Kisoro Road (also known as the Rukungiri-Kabale-Kisoro Road). Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach Kisoro town. In Kisoro, follow the signs to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, which is about 14 kilometers from Kisoro town. The road may be winding and hilly, so drive carefully. Once you reach the park entrance at JJPQ+98G, Nkanda, you will need to pay an entrance fee for the park, which is approximately $40. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for the terrain, as some sections may be rough.

Public Transportation
To reach Mgahinga Gorilla National Park using public transport, start by taking a taxi or a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to the Kabale taxi park. From there, board a taxi heading to Kisoro. The journey takes around 1-1.5 hours and costs approximately 10,000 UGX. Once you arrive in Kisoro, you will need to find a local boda-boda or hire a private taxi to take you the remaining 14 kilometers to the park entrance at JJPQ+98G.
