Walking
From the center of Masaka, start at the Masaka Bus Station. Head east on the main road (Kampala-Masaka Road) for approximately 1 km until you reach the junction with the road leading towards Lutoboka Bay. Turn left onto this road and continue for about 3 km. You'll pass by local shops and homes, so feel free to ask locals for directions if you're unsure. Once you reach the Lutoboka Bay area, follow the signs directing you to John Speke's Fort, which is a short walk from the main road. Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
Head to a nearby boda boda stage in Masaka, which is typically found near the central market or bus station. Negotiate the fare to Lutoboka Bay, and inform the driver that you want to visit John Speke's Fort. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off close to the fort, and from there, you can easily walk to the entrance.
