Walking
Start from the center of Mbale town. Head east on the main road (Mbale - Soroti Rd) towards Kachumbala. Continue walking along this road for approximately 5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for roadside vendors and local shops as you walk. After about 30 minutes, you will see signs directing you toward Kachaboi Forest on your left. Follow the signs, and after another 1 kilometer, you will reach the entrance of Kachaboi Forest.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Mbale town. Start from the main square (near the Mbale taxi park) and head east on Mbale - Soroti Rd. You will need to keep a steady pace; it will take around 20-25 minutes to cover the 5 kilometers to Kachumbala. Once you reach Kachumbala, look for signage indicating the direction to Kachaboi Forest. Follow those signs for about 1 kilometer to reach the forest entrance.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
Find a boda boda stand near the center of Mbale. Negotiate a fare and tell the driver you want to go to Kachaboi Forest via Kachumbala. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes as you travel along Mbale - Soroti Rd. The driver will drop you off at the entrance of Kachaboi Forest, which is about 1 kilometer from Kachumbala.
