Car
From your location within Murchison Falls National Park, head towards the Kiryandongo area. Follow the main road leading to the north exit of the park. Upon exiting the park, continue on the main road (A1) towards Masindi. After approximately 30 kilometers, take a right turn onto the road that leads towards Kaburasaho. Continue straight for about 10 kilometers until you reach the coordinates W2XH+P9, Kaburasaho, where Elephant Points is located. Ensure you have a reliable map or GPS for accurate navigation.
Public Transportation
To reach Elephant Points using public transport, first, you will need to leave Murchison Falls National Park and head to Masindi town. You can catch a matatu (shared taxi) or a bus from the park entrance to Masindi. Once in Masindi, look for a matatu heading towards Kaburasaho. Inform the driver that you want to be dropped off near W2XH+P9, Kaburasaho. From there, you may need to walk or hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to reach your exact destination. Be prepared to pay for both the matatu ride and the boda-boda, which may cost around UGX 5,000 to 20,000 depending on the distance.
Boda-Boda
If you are already in the vicinity of Kaburasaho and need to reach Elephant Points, you can hire a boda-boda. Simply ask a local for a boda-boda ride to W2XH+P9, Kaburasaho. Ensure you agree on a fare before starting your journey. The cost for such a ride is typically around UGX 3,000 to 10,000, depending on the distance and negotiation.
