Getting There

  • Car

    From Sebei, head northwest on the main road towards Fort Portal. Continue straight for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the junction for Kasese. Take a left turn at the junction onto the Rwenzori Road (AHA). Follow this road for about 30 kilometers until you arrive at Mweya. Look for signs directing you to Mweya Safari Lodge. Note that the lodge is located on a peninsula, providing stunning views.

  • Public Transportation

    Catch a taxi or a matatu from Sebei to Fort Portal. These are available at several taxi parks in Sebei. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and it might cost around 15,000 to 25,000 UGX depending on the vehicle. Once in Fort Portal, transfer to a taxi heading to Kasese. This leg of the journey will take about 1 hour and cost about 10,000 UGX. Upon arrival in Kasese, you can hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or arrange for a private taxi to Mweya Safari Lodge, which is about a 30-minute ride away. The boda boda fare typically costs around 10,000 UGX.
