If you are driving from Fort Portal, take the A109 road heading southwest. Continue on this road for approximately 29 kilometers until you reach the turnoff to Lake Nkuruba, which will be on your left. The road is well-marked with signs for Lake Nkuruba. Once you turn off, follow the dirt road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the lake. Make sure to drive carefully as the road may be uneven.

To reach Lake Nkuruba using public transport, head to the main bus terminal in Fort Portal. Look for a Matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Kasese or Ibanda. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the Lake Nkuruba turnoff. The fare is typically around 3,000 UGX (Ugandan Shillings) per person. The Matatu will drop you off at the junction, which is about 29 kilometers from Fort Portal. From there, you can either walk (approximately 5 kilometers) or hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) for about 10,000 UGX to take you directly to the lake.
