    If you are driving from the center of Toro, head towards Fort Portal. Take the main road leading to Fort Portal, which is well-marked. Once you reach Fort Portal, keep an eye out for Njara Road. Turn onto Njara Road and continue straight until you reach Plot 2 - 8. The Tooro Botanical Gardens will be on your left. There is parking available on-site.

  • Public Transportation (Matatu)

    From Toro, you can catch a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Fort Portal from the main taxi park. The fare is approximately 2,000 UGX. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the Fort Portal main bus station. Once you arrive at the bus station, you can either take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) for about 5,000 UGX directly to Tooro Botanical Gardens on Njara Road, or you can walk, which takes about 30 minutes. If you choose to walk, head towards Njara Road, keeping in mind the direction of the gardens as you navigate.

  • Boda Boda

    If you are already in Fort Portal, you can hire a boda boda from anywhere in town. The fare to Tooro Botanical Gardens is typically around 5,000 UGX. Make sure to specify the destination to the rider by saying 'Njara Road, near the Botanical Gardens.' The ride should take about 10 minutes depending on traffic.
