Car
If you are traveling by car from the city center of Toro, start by heading north on the main road towards Gulu. Continue on the Gulu Highway for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction for Gulu - Patiko Rd. Turn left onto Gulu - Patiko Rd. Continue for about 8 kilometers. You will see signs for Fort Patiko, which will be on your left. Be sure to check road conditions, as some parts may be unpaved.
Public Transportation
To reach Fort Patiko using public transportation, head to the nearest bus or taxi park in Toro. Look for a shared taxi or bus heading towards Gulu. The fare will typically be around UGX 10,000 to UGX 20,000 depending on the vehicle and time of day. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Gulu - Patiko Rd. Once you arrive at the junction, you can either walk for about 8 kilometers or hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you directly to Fort Patiko. The boda boda fare should be around UGX 5,000 to UGX 10,000.

If you prefer a quicker option and are already in Toro, you can hire a boda boda directly to Fort Patiko. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should range from UGX 15,000 to UGX 30,000 for the trip, depending on your starting point within Toro. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and the drivers are usually familiar with the location.
